This document informs you of True North Relocation, LLC, policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information we receive from shippers.

We use your information to provide relocation services and to operate our website. The information we receive from you (name, address, email address, telephone number, employer, customs documents, passport(s), visa(s), driver’s license, etc.) may be requested and used to provide you with relocation services. 

True North Relocation, LLC, complies with the E.U.-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use and retention of personal information transferred from the European Union to the United States.    

Third parties
We may share your personal information with our partners, including customs agents, ocean freight lines and airlines, and local moving agents providing services to you. When we transfer data to third parties, it is for the purpose of fulfilling our services, the liability and responsibility for that data remains with us.

Disclosure
We may be required to disclose your personal information in response to lawful requests from public authorities, including meeting national security or law enforcement requirements.

Data Security
We take every effort to ensure the safety of your data. We have put in place appropriate physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the Information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, alteration or destruction.  

Access
You have the right to access the Personal Information we have about you. You can correct, amend or request deletion of inaccurate information.

Retention
We keep electronic files for seven years (required). We destroy any physical or printed copies of documents 12-16 months after the completion of your relocation.

Changes to this Policy
This policy may be amended from time to time. We will post the revised version on this website.
